WE read with disappointment that the farmers’ market was not going to resume at Oxford’s Kassam Stadium.
We visited on both Sundays it was there. The first time we had to search for its location because there was no advertising, however, we bought produce there which was good in taste and price.
The second Sunday it was pouring with rain but we still went, and again bought produce that we enjoyed.
The organisers seem not to have given it a go and appear to have given up. Perhaps they should be looking at the way they advertised and promoted the event, instead of just throwing up their hands in defeat after two very wet and cold Sundays.
We still go to farmers’ markets in Deddington, Banbury and Notcutts – which are all some distance from Oxford.
But we hope the organisers of the market at the Kassam re-think their project, return to the stadium and start again Brian and Vanessa Lester, Pegasus Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford
