YOUNG actors and actresses got a taste of the red carpet treatment at the premiere of an all-English version of Grease.
Gel, the work of the Youngstar TV & Film School, features 24 actors from around Oxfordshire, was shown at Oxford’s Phoenix Picture House in Walton Street.
The film screened alongside a 15-minute modern reworking of the Shakespeare classic, Romeo and Juliet, which was filmed in Jericho.
The stars of the two films, all aged between eight and 20, each completed a six month course with the school.
They hit the red carpet as they arrived to watch themselves on the big screen, above.
Aspiring stars Hollie Hilton, Alanah Shirtfield, and Kira Choak, all 11 and from Didcot, performed as backing dancers.
Hollie said: “Being in the films was very exciting and a really good experience.”
The school now plans to start auditioning for a horror film, which will be shot in Oxford later this year.
To be considered for an audition, write to the school, including your name, age and contact number, to: info@youngstar.tv
