A woman was threatened with a gun outside her home.
Police yesterday appealed for witnesses after an argument between a woman and two men in Ambleside Drive, in Northway, Oxford, at about 11am on Sunday.
During the argument, one of the men held up what was believed to be a firearm.
The men – who were inside a red Audi A3 – were both described as white and thought to be in their 20s.
Det Sgt Russell Simpson said: “I would like to reassure residents that although no shots were fired, we are treating a report of this nature very seriously and have a team of officers working towards arresting those responsible.
“I would also like to offer the reassurance that this is a rare and isolated incident and urge anyone who was in the area at the time and saw any suspicious activity, to contact me.”
Anyone with information should call police on 08458 505505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
