MOVERS and shakers at a Bicester dance school are appealing for people to get involved in a charity dancing marathon.
The MSW Elite school, in Crumps Butts, will be hosting the relay style event in aid of Katharine House hospice, in Adderbury, on Saturday. About 55 dancers have already joined the team, but the dance school is hoping to swell the ranks to at least 90.
Dance teacher Vanessa Gorman, from Corncrake Way, decided to run the danceathon in memory of her father Jack who was nursed at the hospice before his death last year. She said: “He was a great dancer. He and my mother used to do ballroom dancing together, and their love of dancing has inspired me.”
The dance relay will consist of 20 minute sessions of different dance styles, ranging from ballet to belly dancing. Dancers of any age from six upwards are invited. To take part, call 07971075493.
