OXFORD’S Nepalese community marked the coming of their New Year with music, dancing and good food.
More than 200 people met at the Rover Sports and Social Club, in Horspath Road, to celebrate the special occasion yesterday.
The venue was decorated with bright banners, and revellers listened to traditional Nepalese music and enjoyed curries from the Himalayan country..
The Nepalese New Year – 2066 – officially begins on Tuesday.
