A MAN was assualted after he tried to intervene in a gang attack.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 41-year-old man was injured in Wood Street, Wallingford, in the early hours of Saturday.
He intervened after seeing three men kicking another man on the ground.
Det Con Dave Edwards said: “The man sustained a broken thumb and some bruising.
“We are still investigating exactly what happened in this incident and I would ask that anyone who witnessed this assault to get in touch.””
