CHILDREN celebrated the end of term and the arrival of Spring with a colourful Easter show.

Hagbourne Pre-School put on the production in the village hall at East Hagbourne, near Didcot.

More than 40 children, aged between two and four-years-old, performed Spring has Sprung for families, teachers and villagers, last Friday.

The event also celebrated East Hagbourne’s participation in the national finals of the Britain in Bloom contest Margaret Emery, chairman of the Hagbourne Pre-School Committee, said: “Our end of term production is always a highlight for the pre-school, but this year has been particularly special thanks to our involvement in Britain in Bloom.

“The children have had lots of fun planting seeds and learning about how to grow flowers.

“The show’s spring theme was a perfect way of combining this knowledge with a wonderful end of term production.”

She added: “The show was the culmination of a lot of hard work by both children and staff.”

Children dressed up as lambs, tulips, daffodils and, of course, chicks.
