HERE are the rest of the large party which set off from Oxford for a summer outing in the 1950s.
The day trippers stood in such a long line that we couldn’t publish the complete picture.
As we recalled when we published the right-hand part, it was a group from the British Legion at Marston, and it is believed the outing was to Porthcawl, in South Wales.
The picture comes from Michael Clarke, of Lewell Avenue, Old Marston, whose family was strongly connected with the Legion.
