I HAVE to disagree with Simon Lowles (Oxford Mail, April 6) when he says “No one has any idea at all where you are with the Liberals”.

Those of us who deal with them regularly know precisely where they are. They are wherever it suits them to be.

They can promote different policies in different parts of the same county, in different parts of the same town, even at different doorsteps in the same road.

They are the most unprincipled, political opportunists you will ever meet.

This is why they sometimes win elections but make such a mess on those rare occasions when they gain control.

It is always impossible for them to deliver effectively when they have promised not just the Earth to their electors but many different Earths!
