A knife-wielding robber snatched a bag from a woman in Oxford.
The woman was walking home at 5.30pm on Saturday and had just left the alleyway that adjoins Trinity Street when a man came up behind her and demanded that she hand over her bag.
The man was white, about 5ft 7in tall, slim and aged in his twenties. He had short dark curly hair, thick eyebrows and a local accent.
He was wearing a bright-coloured, orange and red top and jeans and had a light green cloth scarf over his head when he first approached.
PC Fran Whyte said: “The man was holding what the woman believed to be a knife.
“There could have been people around who saw this robbery happen or who saw the man in the area before or afterwards.
“I ask anyone who may have any information to get in touch.”
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PC Whyte at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or, if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
