Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old boy was robbed near Folly Bridge, Oxford.
The boy was with a friend on the riverbank near to Folly Bridge on Saturday, when two teenagers came up to them, threatened them with a paddle and demanded they empty their pockets.
One of the offenders was Asian; he had a moustache and short, black gelled hair, and is thought to be about 15 years old.
The other teenager was black, of large build, about 17 years old and about 6ft tall. He appeared almost bald.
Det Con Josephine Craig said: “The men stole a mobile phone from the boys.
“A robbery can be very distressing and I urge anyone with any information to contact me.
“The weather was nice and there were lots of people around at the time who might have some information to help with my investigation.”
