THE first batch of the new Mini Convertibles destined for overseas were loaded on to trains at the Cowley plant in Oxford today. The Convertible was launched in Britain last month and is produced in Cooper and Cooper S guises.
The new design replaces the old soft top, which sold 164,000 cars worldwide before production ceased last August.
An optional ‘openometer’ records how long the car has been driven with the roof down.
