Two teenage boys charged with a raid on an Oxford jewellers have been remanded in custody.

The boys, aged 16 and 17-years-old and who are too young to name, both appeared at Oxford Youth Court charged with theft.

They are accused of smashing open a glass case at Goldsmiths Jewellers, in Queen Street, in Oxford, on Friday and stealing thousands of pounds worth of Rolex watches.

Both were remanded in custody to appear at Oxford Crown Court on April 22.
