A rare Chinese vase worth £120,000 discovered in a box in Scotland will be auctioned at Blenheim Palace, Woodstock, next month.
The vase will be on offer in Edinburgh-based Lyon & Turnbull's sale at the stately home on Wednesday, April 8.
The silver Tang vase, which dates from the 9th or 10th century, was found in the cardboard box at a sale.
Now it could fetch at least £120,000 when it goes under the hammer at the auction next month.
The seller did not initially realise the significance of the piece when he came across it in the box but said it was obviously "something special".
The lidded vase is shaped like a melon and decorated with leaves, flowers, birds and animals.
