WHAT a strange man John Tanner is.
Some years ago, as Lord Mayor, he enjoyed all the perks and trappings of the Queen’s representative in the city.
Now he advocates abolition of the monarchy (Tuesday’s Oxford Mail).
Do we really want all the mass hysteria as seen in the USA?
Would John turn down an OBE if offered? Maybe he would prefer the Order of Lenin.
John, I am sorry that duelling is no longer allowed or it would be pistols at dawn – and Littlemore would need a new president.
Long live the Queen.
