A pilot is recovering in hospital this morning after his plane crashed at an airfield in west Oxfordshire.
Firefighters were called just before 11am yesterday after reports the plane overturned after failing to land on the runway at the airfield in Enstone.
Vicky Brandon, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said: “A 50-year-old man suffered a fractured wrist and injuries to his lower back.
“His injuries are not life-threatening and he is now recovering in hospital.”
She said the Air Accidents Investigation Branch had been informed.
