A pilot is recovering in hospital after his plane crashed at an airfield in west Oxfordshire.
Firefighters were called just before 11am yesterday following reports the plane had overturned after it missed the runway while landing at the airfield in Enstone.
Vicky Brandon, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police, said: “A 50-year-old man suffered a fractured wrist and injuries to his lower back.
“His injuries are not life-threatening and he is now recovering in hospital.”
She said the Air Accidents Investigation Branch had been informed.
