THE cyclist who remains in a critical condition after he was in collided with a broken down van on the Oxford bypass on Saturday has been named as Peter ‘Robbo’ Roberts, 65, of Blenheim Road, Kidlington.
He is a member of Oxford City Cycling Club, a former coach at Oxford City Athletics club, and had worked at the Churchill Hospital.
John Jenkins, chairman of the cycling club, said: “We are all very concerned for Robbo as we would be for any cyclist, particularly because he has been a member of the club for so many years and has many friends here.
“We hope he returns to good health. He is a fantastic bloke. Everyone is very worried and hopes for a full recovery.”
