Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed of a Rolex watch in Oxford.

At about 10.50pm on Friday, a 27-year-old man was attacked in the toilets of Old Orleans, in George Street, by two men. They hit him over the head, punched him numerous times and stole his Rolex watch.

Det Con Robin Barratt said: “I am keen to speak to a man who may have witnessed the robbery take place. He was seen to go into the toilets after the offenders and come out after they had left.

“He is white, medium, stocky build and aged in his twenties, with dark collar-length hair. He was wearing a blue T-shirt with a grey under-sleeve and dark coloured writing on the front, dark blue jeans and black trainers.

"He came out of the toilet and was seen walking towards the large television screen.

“I am also keen to speak to a white woman who helped the victim but did not give her details to police.

“If you were in this bar on Friday night and saw two men acting suspiciously please contact police immediately.”

Anyone with information that could assist police enquiries is urged to contact Det Con Robin Barratt via Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 0845 8 505 505. If you don’t want to speak to police and don’t want to leave your name contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
