A woman is being hunted by police in connection with two attacks in Didcot.

A 49-year-old man was smashed in the face with a glass bottle and suffered cuts and bruises at his home in Wessex Road, at about 4.45pm on Friday.

At around 7.10pm the same day, a 42-year-old man was also injured and taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, in Oxford, after he was attacked in his flat in Hamble Road.

The attacker on both occasion was said to be the same woman, a police spokesman said.

Det Sgt Darren Cartwright said: “We believe that these assaults are linked and the person responsible is known to both of the victims.

“Although these offences happened inside there were people around at the time who might have seen a woman going into the houses, or leaving in a hurry shortly afterwards.”
