Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary at a house in Oxford.

Between 5.20pm and 5.30pm on Saturday, four men forced their way into the house in Waynflete Road and stole some electrical items.

Two of the men were black and the other two were white; they were all wearing bandanas.

They left the house and drove off in a new-style dark-coloured Peugeot.

Det Sgt Roger Lamboll said: “Although I would like to reassure residents that this is an isolated incident I need anyone who witnessed anything suspicious to contact me.

“Were you in the area and did you see four men in a dark-coloured car?

“Luckily no one was injured but this is a distressing incident and the two occupants, a man and a woman, have been left shaken.”

Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Det Sgt Lamboll at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
