Membership fees for the Didcot Chamber of Commerce have been cut to a flat rate of £50 a year.
Formerly membership was stepped according to the number of employees a business had in a bid to attract some of the larger retail chains but now the emphasis is on boosting membership levels.
Glyn Hall, president of the Chamber, said: ‘We’re pleased that within recent months a number of new members have joined the Chamber, come along to our business networking events and are now interested in joining the committee.
“There are approximately 2,000 businesses in the immediate area and we are hopeful that the new flat fee will prove attractive to them.”
