The Tirah Memorial in Bonn Square, Oxford, has been defaced with graffiti by vandals.
The city’s oldest memorial, built in 1900, was been daubed on several sides in black ink over the weekend.
The Tirah Memorial was built to commemorate servicemen from the 2nd Battalion of the Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
