Police have caught 229 cyclists riding on pavements, jumping red lights and cycling without lights on their bikes in Summertown during a three-month-long safety crackdown.
Anyone caught without lights was offered the chance to cancel the £30 on-the-spot fine if they provide police with a receipt proving they have purchased lights since being stopped by officers. The offer to cancel the fine runs until the end of this month.
