I accept, in principle, Ian Hudspeth’s recent invitation to me in your letters pages to talk to him, and perhaps give him a few pointers and simple instructions on how to improve, and possibly solve, Oxford’s transport shambles.
I had said that Mr Hudspeth ‘gave an impression’ that he would perhaps listen to public opinion.
Well done also to the group of Oxford pensioners who have been reported to be making and protesting their points of view.
I think scrapping bus stops in the heart of the city just to make the place look nice is a very silly idea.
The grey mafia is often a force to be reckoned with, especially around voting time.
That aside, I would hope anyway that county hall affords you the due care, consideration and attention you all so rightly deserve. DAVID WILLIAMS
