Police are appealing for witnesses after a 19-year-old man was robbed at about 2.15am today.
The man was walking with a friend along Rickyard Close when two men came up to them and demanded they hand over their mobile phones and money. They hit the man on the head and then ran off.
The robbers were both white and about 18 years old. One was wearing a white hooded top with a picture of a sad face on it. The other was wearing a black hooded top and had a small beard.
Det Sgt Steve Raffield said: “At the time that this happened, someone shouted out of the window of a nearby house, which must have scared the robbers, as they ran away.
“I would like to speak to this person and anyone else who might have information to help with my inquiries and urge them to contact me.
Anyone with information which could help the police should contact Det Sgt Raffield at Oxford police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
