ABINGDON: An award-winning author visited the town to talk to children about his work.
More than 500 pupils from eight Abingdon schools listened as the Carnegie medal-winning author spoke about his book River Boy, which won him the prestigious accolade.
Abingdon School librarian Gaynor Cooper, who helped organise the event, said: “Tim is not only a brilliant author but also a spellbinding speaker.
“It was wonderful to see his audience riveted by his talk.”
