Florence Park, Oxford, has been closed until further notice after a series of drains burst and raw sewage flowed into the park.
The drain has been cleared out by park rangers and Thames Water officers have been called to the scene to inspect the drain to identify the problem.
A spokesman for the city council said it would be closed for health and safety reasons until further notice.
