Five homes were left without power tonight after a car crashed into an electricity pole near Oxford.
The accident, involving two cars, happened just before 3pm in Foxcombe Road, Boars Hill.
A Southern Electric spokesman said the impact had caused some of the wires at the top of the pole to come loose, so power had to be cut to nearby homes before engineers could carry out repairs.
All of the residents affected were informed and power is expected to be back on early tomorrow.
The road is closed, with traffic being diverted through Bayworth.
