Almost 8,000 people have signed up for our credit crunch deal offering readers a year-long pass into Blenheim Palace.

The Blenheim deal has already proved one of the biggest reader offers that we have ever published, with the palace reporting a big upsurge in the number of visitors to the internationally famous attraction in Woodstock.

And this week we are extending the year-long pass for the price of a day ticket offer, giving readers until December to take up the offer.

To take advantage of the deal, readers have until December 13 to buy a day ticket at the palace. Then, with the voucher that appears in this week's issue, you can convert your ticket into an annual pass, giving you 12 months’ unlimited free entry to the palace, park and gardens from the day of purchase.

The chief executive of Blenheim Palace, John Hoy, said: “The offer has been a huge success and it has given us a really super start to the new season, even in the present difficult economic climate. There has been a huge surge of interest over the last two weeks, with about a third of our visitors converting their day passes into year-long passes.

“Local people recognise that they are acquiring something of real value. The number of visitors over the last two-week period has gone up by 25 per cent on the previous year.”
