Sir – While North Oxford is to gain a new parkway station, affording an alternative rail path to London (via High Wycombe), Kidlington is actually better served by Islip station, which lies just one mile away, and is to be fully rebuilt.

There is already a large car park at Islip, with plenty of space for enlargement. Kidlington sprawls a long way north-south, and Islip station will be much more convenient for many.
