Who remembers the Hobby Players?
By the look of instruments in this picture, they were a lively and versatile band.
The picture was sent in by Tony Harrison, of Mill Lane, Clanfield – his brother Peter is at the back playing the drums.
Peter died just over a year ago.
The accordion players are Gordon Scott, left, who is believed to be living in the Wantage area, and Algie Goldstuck, who died two years ago.
Tony Harrison writes: “The photograph must be more than 50 years old as my brother was 79 when he died. I don’t know who the ladies are – perhaps they are still around.”
