A city centre street has been closed off this morning as firefighters battle a blaze at the back of a takeaway.
The fire in the rear yard of Domino's Pizza in Becket Street broke out at about 8.15am. A huge plume of smoke could be seen rising from behind the shops at Frideswide Square.
Flames rose to about 10ft high but firefighters quickly brought it under control.
Three fire crews were called in and it appeared the damage was limited to a skip and a fence.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
