It's a “fair cop” for the county’s crime fighters who are being given free mugs of Fairtrade tea at their local supermarket.
Co-operative stores across Oxfordshire will act as pit-stops for thirsty police officers on the beat.
Police and community support officers can get a mug of tea or coffee, meet staff and customers and even complete paperwork rather than have to head back to the police station during their shift.
The scheme was launched at Co-op in Mersey Way, Didcot, today.
Wendy Moore, of the Midcounties Co-operative, said: “Officers need to take short breaks during their shifts and this allows them to engage with the community.”
