Two men arrested as part of the investigation into the death of a man in Oxford have been released without charge.
The body of Frederick Carter, 74, of Vicarage Road, Oxford, was discovered at about midnight on Wednesday, February 18, on the roadworks in St Aldates, outside the Solus lighting shop.
Sgt Mark Ponting, who is leading the investigation, said: “The Crown Prosecution Service has decided that there should be no charges brought against these two men. We view this incident as a tragic accident and the file has now been submitted to the coroner.
“The investigation team would like to thank the Oxford Bus Company, Stagecoach and the Oxford Limousine Company for their full co-operation during this investigation.
