Police are appealing for witnesses after two shops were burgled in Faringdon.
Turners Tackle and Bait in Station Road was burgled at about 2am on Saturday, the thieves smashing a window and stealing a catapult.
At about 2.30am, The Bargain Centre, in Market Place, was broken into and the burglars stole sweets, fizzy drinks, cigarettes and lighters.
During the same night, some people sprayed graffiti on some of the shops and houses in the town centre.
PC Jon Bodinham said: “We believe that the spray can was stolen from a car that was parked in the town centre and that all of these offences could be linked.
“I appeal to anyone who was in the area of Faringdon town centre between 1.30am and 2.30am on Saturday morning and has any information about these incidents to contact me.”
Anyone with any information should contact PC Bodinham at Wantage police station via 0845 8 505 505, or if you don’t want to talk to the police or give your name, call the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
