Burglars stole hundreds of pounds from The Eagle pub, in Watchfield, near Faringdon, sometime between midnight and 7am yesterday.
They got in through the cellar and stole around £300 to £400 in cash.
Investigating officer Pc Sarah Wilson: “I believe that the thieves carried the money away in a plastic carrier bag.
“I am appealing for anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time to contact me.”
