A teenager was attacked by four men as he walked home in Witney.
Police are appealing for information after the 17-year-old boy was set on in Bourton Close at about 10.45pm on Friday.
The attackers were all described as white.
One was aged between 17 and 19, with short dark hair, about 5ft 6in and was wearing a green tracksuit top with a hood.
Another was about 6ft, of slim to average build with short dark hair and also wearing a hooded top.
The third man was about 5ft 9in, with dark ginger hair, stocky and wearing a dark hooded top while the fourth was described as wearing dark-coloured clothing.
Investigating officer Det Con Graham Lea said: “This was an unprovoked attack by some youths who we believe might have been hanging around the area beforehand.
“I appeal to anyone who might have seen these youths or witnessed this assault to get in touch.”
