Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted by a gang in Witney.

At about 10.45pm on Friday, a 17-year-old boy was walking home when he was assaulted by four men in Bourton Close.

The men were all white, and one was aged between 17 and 19 with short dark hair. He was about 5ft 6in tall and was wearing a green tracksuit top with a hood.

One of the men was about 6ft tall, slim to average build with short dark hair. He was wearing a hooded top.

A third man was about 5ft 9in tall, with dark ginger hair. He was quite stocky and wearing a dark hooded top.

The fourth man was wearing dark-coloured clothing.

Det Con Graham Lea said: “This was an unprovoked attack by some youths who we believe might have been hanging around the area beforehand.

“I appeal to anyone who might have seen these youths or witnessed this assault to get in touch.”
