Reducing costs in the recession is top of the list for every manufacturing business in the country.
Now a free workshop is offering tips on how to reduce bills by up to 20 per cent a year.
Industry expert Ed Horgan of Briar Associates will show how managers can only cut costs but also improve their reputation as an environmentally responsible business, which could help attract new customers.
Delegates should bring along any bills showing energy usage for the last 12 months.
This data will be used to measure how much carbon the business is generating and how it can be cut.
The workshop is designed for businesses with an annual energy spend of between £20,000 and £50,000 but will benefit any manufacturer looking to cut costs.
Organised by the Manufacturing Consortium, it takes place on March 10 and runs between 8.30am and 11.30am at Unipart Group, Unipart House, Garsington Road, Cowley, Oxford OX4 2PG To book call Business Link on 0845 600 9006 or e-mail events@businesslinksolutions.co.uk.
