Police tonight renewed an appeal for witnesses after a woman was seriously injured in a crash near Bletchingdon.
The crash happened just after 9am on January 31, on the B4027 Islip Road near Bletchingdon, when a silver Toyota Yaris and a white Citroen panel van collided.
The driver of the Toyota Yaris, a 26-year-old woman, was airlifted to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, and remains in hospital in a critical condition.
PC Rob Mackintosh said: “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
“Immediately after it happened we now know that an elderly man in a small red car stopped at the scene. He came from the Bletchingdon direction, but left before we arrived.
“I appeal to this man to come forward and contact me as he could have information to help with my enquiries.”
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information which could help the police with their enquiries is urged to contact PC Mackintosh at Bicester police station via 0845 8 505 505.
