Unions will hold a meeting in the Town Hall to discuss the cull of BMW workers at Cowley.
Hundreds more agency staff will arrive at the Cowley Plant tomorrow morning to learn if they were among the 850 set to lose their jobs.
Staff were due to start their 6.30am shift when they would find out if they are among the unfortunate 500 to go, or 126 agency staff being retained.
BMW announced the job cuts last Monday due to the global downturn of the sale of the Mini car sparking outrage from workers and unions.
Many are expected to voice their anger at a public meeting on Tuesday entitled ‘Jobs and Justice: Put People First’ at the town hall held by The Oxford & District Trades Union Council from 7pm.
Secretary Bill MacKeith, said: “We want to show support for the workers at BMW. I am sure many people will have something to say and will want to express themselves.”
A Unison representative from the Mini factory is expected to speak at the meeting.
The meeting will hear from those affected by the job cuts and from trade unionists.
Union representatives from the Royal Mail’s distribution centre in Cowley, where hundreds of jobs are set to shift to Swindon in the summer, have been invited to speak.
