Six fire engines, a hydraulic platform, incident commander and unit and a rescue tender was dispatched to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital after a fire broke out in a kitchen this morning.
The small fire, whihc was reported at about 8am, involved a gas hob in a first-floor kitchen.
A spokesman for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said the number of vehicles that attended the incident was normal for a building of the hospital’s size.
