Police were today continuing to question a man about a series of armed robberies in the Oxford area.
The man, named by police as Jon Shirley, was held last night by 30 police at a house in Oxford.
Detectives had appealed for help to Shirley, 23, after naming him as a suspect following a series of armed robberies over the past two months.
At about 7pm 30 police raided a house in Marston and arrested Shirley and another man on suspicion of robbery.
There had been a dozen possible sightings of Shirley in the past two days and a police spokesman thanked the public and media for their help.
