Drivers are being warned by the Met Office to take extra care due to icy road conditions this morning.

There were two accidents on the A338 at East Hanney near Wantage in the icy conditions and the road is partly blocked.

Ice is also causing problems for drivers on Hanney Road, between the B4017 Abingdon Road junction and the Steventon Road junction in Steventon and on the B4437 near Charlbury, where a car is reported to have crashed off the road and hit a tree.

There are delays eastbound on the A420 near the Botley interchange in Oxford following an accident.

Further delays are reported following another crash on the A420 near Kingston Bagpuize; on the A417 Lechlade Road, Faringdon; A4074 at Sandford-on-Thames and queueing traffic on the A43 southbound at Baynards Green due to a broken-down lorry.

Drivers heading to the M40 from Oxford are facing diversions, following the closure of the Oxford spur road due to emergency repairs.

The road is closed southbound between the A40/A418 and Junction 8 M40 A40 Spur (Oxford). The diversion is via the A418 to join the M40 at J8a.

There is flooding on Lower Street at the Mill Street junction in Islip.

First Great Western train services to London Paddington are running as normal but there are delays of up to 45 minutes between Oxford and Worcester following a signalling failure.
