A flood warning has been issued for an Oxfordshire river.
The alert - which warns that flooding of homes and businesses is expected - was issued for the River Thame from Chiselhampton to Drayton St Leonard.
Area Flood Risk Manager Barry Russell said: "We urge everybody who lives in these areas to be vigilant to the risk of flooding.
"Residents who are vulnerable to flooding should move personal belongings out of harm’s way where possible and continue to listen to radio updates for the latest situation.
“We will be constantly monitoring the levels of the Thames throughout the day to ensure that we give residents as much information as possible and we may be issuing more flood warnings throughout the day if the likelihood of property flooding increases.”
The River Thames is on flood watch - the lowest level of flood alert - through Oxfordshire along with other waterways, including the:
- River Windrush
- River Cherwell
- River Ock
- River Ray
- Chalgrove Brook
- Letcombe Brook.
The Environment Agency yesterday removed flood watches from a number of other waterways, including:
- River Evenlode
- River Glyme
- Clanfield Brook
- Shill Brook
- Ginge Brook.
