A murder investigation was launched after the body of a 22-year-old woman was discovered in a house.
Paramedics arrived at the semi-detached house in Synderford Close, on the Ladygrove estate in Didcot, shortly after 9am yesterday, police said today.
Inside, they found the body of a woman, who was named by police as Rosie Williams.
A 36-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Det Sgt Darren Cartwright, of Didcot CID, said: “We are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
“The post mortem is inconclusive, and we are still waiting for the results of toxicology tests.”
Neighbours living nearby said officers worked at the house throughout Monday and into the night.
A neighbour, in her teens, said: “She was a lovely person. She was my best friend.”
A mother-of-three, who asked not to be named, said: “There were police officers around the front and back of the house all night and forensic officers were taking swabs.”
A 54-year-old man said: “We saw lots of police but didn’t see or hear anything. Police wouldn’t tell us anything or release any details.”
