Hundreds of dads and their children will get an annual fun day together after the first one-off event proved a success.
More than 500 fathers and their families were lured to South Oxford Adventure Playground for the first Dads Go Wild event last year under a scheme trying to improve the relationships between dads and their children.
Funs events at the day included water fights, building rockets and a tug of war.
Information was also available about support available to fathers bringing up children.
The event was planned as a one-off, but Oxfordshire Parenting Forum received such positive feedback it has decided to run the event again on an annual basis.
But it needs volunteers to come forward to help run attractions including a barbecue, drum workshop and penalty shoot out competition.
Debi Redding, senior parent support co-ordinator and development manager, said: “It was absolutely fantastic last year. “ She added: “Hits on our oxondads website doubled the day after the event.”
She said support available to fathers included one-to-one parenting advice, family workshops and ‘Saturdads’ groups, where fathers can take their children and meet other dads.
