Commuters were warned there could be further delays on buses and trains tomorrow following some disruption yesterday, if more snow fell overnight.
Stagecoach services in Witney and Banbury were badly affected, with several routes suspended.
Most other Stagecoach routes and all Oxford Bus Company services were running normally by the afternoon after problems with snow-covered roads during the morning.
RH Transport suspended its country services but ran a normal service on the hospital park and ride routes in Oxford, and Thames Travel suffered only minor delays.
On the rails, First Great Western’s Oxford to Bicester service was suspended until lunchtime but otherwise there were few lengthy delays.
CrossCountry, Chiltern Railways and Wrexham & Shropshire planned a near normal service today, subject to weather conditions. FGW said news of any early-morning service changes would be posted on its website.
