A flash warning of outbreaks of snow across Oxfordshire overnight and tomorrow morning was issued by the Met Office tonight.
Forecasters said there was a 80 per cent chance of further widespread snowfall, with between 2cm and 5cm (0.75in-2in) generally and up to 10cm (4in) on higher ground.
Motorists are being warned to take extra care and bus and rail passengers should check with operators in case of disruption to services.
RAF Benson recorded 7cm (2.75in) of snow this morning, although parts of Oxfordshire are believed to have seen up to 10cm.
